Our Prayers for Our Son

We pray that Trey would confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and that he would believe in his heart that You have raised Christ from the dead. Cause Trey to call on Your name, Lord, and save him. (from Romans 10:9-13)

That Trey's love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight so the he may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of rightousness that comes through Jesus Christ. (from Phillipians 1:9-11)

Let Trey grow as Jesus did, in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and men. (from Luke 2:52)

Help us to train Trey in the way he should go so when he is old he will not turn from it. (from Proverbs 22:6)

Thank-you for loving Trey so much that You gave Your one and only Son that when Trey believes in Him he will not perish but have everlasting life. (from John 3:16)

End of Summer Beach Trip

We decided to use our timeshare and take and end of summer beach trip over Bobby's 4 day break from the fire dept. It was a great time of family fun and relaxation! Not to mention Trey got in his "fish fix" at the Ripley's aquarium...he loves his goldfish at home but they do not compare to the fish we saw here!!!
Chilling in the stroller looking at all of the sharks

Trey ran around like a crazy person climbing and sliding on the fun things at the aquarium

Playing in the sand with Daddy is fun!
We were very happy that Trey had a healthy fear of the ocean this year...he wanted to be in the water and jump and play but also wanted to hold our hands while he jumped instead of just going right in by himself like last year!
Trey enjoyed dumping loads of sand up near Mommy's chair
My 2 boys!

Our resort was just a block or so down from the OD Pavilion so we walked down on our last night to let Trey ride some of the rip-off rides...he loved them and didn't realize how cheesy they were!

Bye bye, beach...see you next summer!

Too Cool for School!

Trey went to a summer program at our church for a few weeks to get used to going to preschool...last week the real deal started...he loves it! He decided that he needed to wear his sunglasses as we were going out the door on the first day. Then he decided that he wanted to be taking the pictures and got upset because I wouldn't let him hold the "cheese" (camera). He is growing up so fast, working on potty training and doing very well with going pee pee in the potty, he can now drink out of a regular cup and is saying new words everyday...where did my baby go???!!

Tweetsie Railroad

We met Grammy, Papa and all of the Jones side cousins at Tweetsie Railroad last Monday. It was a great time and Trey got tons of attention from his older cousins (which he loved)! He really enjoyed riding on the rides and actually rode quite a few all by himself! Next year he will be able to participate in "Cousin's Week"...we are already talking about what Mom and Dad will do with that time alone :)

Fishin'

Since Daddy had to work on July 4th we decided to do something fun on the 3rd! Some friends from church have a beautiful pond that they let us use so we decided to take Trey fishing! He caught his first fish (a tiny little guy). We couldn't believe it...he was beating the water with his cane pole and the next thing we knew he had a bite...so much for people saying noise scares fish away! He lost interest in sitting holding the pole quickly but had a blast running around in the field next to the pond...he's all boy and we love him!

Trey & Pa made the Wake Weekly!
